The challenge…
One of our regular customers, Steve of Artisan Loft Ladders asked if we could supply a luxury loft ladder including hatch for his client at their beautiful home in rural Cotswolds. The addition of a loft ladder formed part of a larger project to convert the empty loft area into a useful space including a new floor, plaster boarded walls and lighting. Steve’s customer wanted to store items in the loft that could be accessed regularly.
The ladder had to be aesthetically pleasing and up to the challenge of potential daily use by the whole family, so safety and robustness were important considerations. Also, the ladder had to fit in well with the customers elegant furnishings in their landing area. During initial discussions with Steve, the customer stated that their dream ladder would “come down at the push of a button”.

The Solution…
The Supreme Electric ladder was the obvious solution. A high quality electrically operated ladder and hatch, manufactured precisely and beautifully. The quiet motor with back-up battery and push button controls are supplied as standard, made more convenient by an infra-red remote control (optional extra) chosen by the customer. The Supreme Electric ladder consists of heavy-duty die cast aluminium concertina arms and large treads, with a load bearing capability of 200kg. Each tread is large, measuring 140mm deep so offering comfortable support. The Supreme Electric is also supplied with a telescopic handrail for added safety.
The results…
The end customer was very pleased with their installed solution. The Supreme Electric ladder was positioned on the edge of the room across the eaves boundary (as can be seen pictured here), which maximised space in the loft and made a feature of the ladder. The optional infra-red remote control adding to an already luxurious ladder which could not be any easier to use.
