Where space is an issue…
For small ceiling openings retractable ceiling loft ladders provide the ideal solution. The concertina loft ladder mechanism allows them to fold up tightly. This offers a space saving solution that has minimal protrusion into the loft space above. Furthermore, retractable loft ladders can fit into very small ceiling openings. They are available with a fully insulated ready-to-fit hatch box and cover, or can be supplied such that they can be easily installed within your existing hatch box.

Making sure that you choose an airtight and thermally insulated loft ladder hatch box and trapdoor is not only important for keeping down household energy costs but also important for the environment. All of our loft ladders that come supplied pre-assembled in a wooden hatch box are certified to DIN EN 12207 / 12114 for air permeability Class 4 and offer excellent thermal insulation.
