Wippro’s new attic stairs factory showcases latest technology

Austrian attic stair manufacturer Wippro GmbH has completed construction of it’s brand new factory. It is located in Vorderweissenbach, adjacent to the original Wippro factory and showroom. The new facility is dedicated to the production of their attic stair product range and features the very latest technology, including robots.

As a result of this investment, Wippro are able to increase production capacity, while ensuring the highest standards in quality. In addition, the new factory has been designed with a strong focus on the environment and sustainability.

Traditional craftmanship goes hand-in-hand with robotic technology

A stand-out feature within the new facility is the steel fabrication line. The state-of-the-art equipment includes CNC punching and panel bending which is fed from an automated raw material store. The completed component is then picked and placed by a robot, ready to be moved on to the next stage in the assembly process.

In contrast, the rest of the manufacturing and assembly process requires the skilled hands and experience of Wippro’s production team. This includes the careful welding of steel components, to the assembly of the fire-rated loft hatches.
