Premier Loft Ladders was contacted by a homeowner who was looking to improve access to his loft. He wanted a retractable ladder solution that could deliver exceptional functionality for regular use. The surrounding room had recently been decorated, so appearance was also an important consideration. Therefore, a loft ladder that would complement the interior was needed. A key factor in the project’s success was the consultative support provided throughout the process.

The Solution…
After discussing the requirements in detail, Premier Loft Ladders recommended the Elite Retractable Loft Ladder.
The Elite is a heavy-duty concertina ladder, designed to provide safe and easy access into the loft space. It has a superior space-saving design, making it a good solution for installation within an existing ceiling opening or hatch box.
Its spring-assisted operation allows the ladder to be raised and lowered with less than 3kg of force, while large treads, non-slip feet and a telescopic handrail improve comfort and safety during regular use.
The results…
The Elite Loft Ladder can be supplied in a choice of powder-coated finishes. For this project, a deep red powder coating (Wine Red RAL 3005) was chosen, which complemented the customers navy blue walls and carpet within the room, as shown in the image.
As a result, the ladder became a bold feature within the newly decorated interior while still providing the practical loft access required by the customer.
Ultimately, the Elite ladder provides effortless, safe, and comfortable access to the upper level. This is due to its wide, anti-slip treads (380mm wide x 140mm deep), spring counterbalance system and telescopic handrail.
