The Roof Access Safety Post from Bilco (also known as a Ladder Up Post) helps to provide safe entry and exit through flat roof access hatches. The spring-assisted telescopic post is fitted just beneath the roof hatch. Although designed for mounting to a fixed ladder, it can also be secured to other surfaces.

Available in a range of materials and finishes to suit the environment it will be used within. Including powder-coated steel, galvanised steel, 304 stainless steel and aluminium.

  • Extension and retraction of the post is controlled by a stainless steel spring balancing mechanism.
  • The roof access safety post is automatically locked when in the extended position. Pulling on the lever disables the lock and allows the post to be gently retracted to the stowed position.
  • Supplied with an installation pack, including brackets, bolts, washers and nuts. The kit allows for fixing directly to fixed ladders. Where a fixed ladder is not being used, it is possible to also secure to a load-bearing surface, but please contact us to discuss before placing your order.
